This piece consists of a grey matrix with a light pink plush of calcite crystal covering. On the calcite, there are nodules of chalcopyrite in yellows, blues, and a few purples. This specimen is from the Sweetwater Mine in Reynolds County, Missouri from the Viburnum Trend. Having chalcopyrite and calcite together is great for those really needing to move energies in their system. It enhances your ability to hear the Universe, leading you there gently.

Facts and Lore: Chalcopyrite is a formula of CuFeS2. It is a copper ore. So, it is a metal. It was named in 1725 from two Greek words meaning copper and strike. In my readings, this mineral seems to be where the majority of copper is refined from. There are other impurities that can be found in chalcopyrite and it does oxidize giving it its rainbow of colors.
Calcite is a formula of (CaCO3). Calcite itself has been recognized for a long time. Pliny the Elder seems to have first named this in 79 AD using the Latin name for Lime, Calx. I read another article today stating that Calcite was actually named in the 19th century. Archeologists will use the term Alabaster for some white fine grain examples of white calcite. What is interesting to me is that trilobites were found that used calcite as lenses in their eyes. It comes in just about every color in the rainbow.

Sizing details
All my pocket rockets are sorted by their measurements. The longest side is the measurement that they are sorted by. They could be very thin in both thickness and width, but make the measurement in length only. All pictures are from current lot so it will hopefully give you an idea of the dimensional comparisons for your piece.
I try to add approximate measurements to all items. If there is something I have forgotten or is unclear, please contact me for clarification!
All rocks are a bit smaller than you think they are going to be! Even I order stones online and look at them as I get them from the box and have the same thought. I always get out a ruler when I am reading the measurements on a stone to help me know what to expect.
Wholesale availability
