This is known as Fire and Ice or Crackle Quartz. It was first mined as a natural quartz that had undergone a natural heating process before mining. I do not believe that this quartz has been "naturally" crackled. I think that there has been some human help. It is a beautiful clear quartz from Brazil with absolutely awesome energy!

Reading the histories, it seems that "quartz" was officially adopted as the name of this mineral in the mid 1600's. In the metaphysical world, we apply the name quartz to the clear macrocrystalline variety of this mineral. The chemical makeup of all quartz starts with the basic SiO2 that gives you clear quartz. If there is another chemical in the mix, it then normally becomes a colored quartz. When it forms as a single point, it is normally 6 sided.
According to Wikipedia, quartz is the second most abundant mineral in the Earth's crust. Feldspar is actually the most abundant! You might want to double check that with other sources, but I was shocked!
Clear quartz has been used for millennia as carved drinking vessels, jewelry, and stone tools.

Sizing details
All my pocket rockets are sorted by their measurements. The longest side is the measurement that they are sorted by. They could be very thin in both thickness and width, but make the measurement in length only. All pictures are from current lot so it will hopefully give you an idea of the dimensional comparisons for your piece.
I try to add approximate measurements to all items. If there is something I have forgotten or is unclear, please contact me for clarification!
All rocks are a bit smaller than you think they are going to be! Even I order stones online and look at them as I get them from the box and have the same thought. I always get out a ruler when I am reading the measurements on a stone to help me know what to expect.
Wholesale availability
I do wholesale buying when I attend the showcases. With Covid, many things have been cancelled and other sellers cannot get into the country. Please contact me with any questions. I do not sell anything listed on Etsy at wholesale prices, but I am willing to shop for you when I can.
