This is a serpentine from Northeast Washington State. I love the miners. It is a couple that travels down to Arizona once a year to sell what they have mined for the year. You can stand right there and watch then cut, polish... the whole thing. This piece is mined by them, polished by them, from the mine they own!

The miners have named this Swirl Serpentine. It is a very light lime color. It is a free-form shape polished on all sides.

Healing Energies: Serpentine is a calming stone. It moves through the body releasing stress. I just love holding serpentine as it is so soothing. A great stone to connect to the history of the Earth.
Facts and Lore: The formula for serpentine is quite convoluted: D3[Si2O5](OH)4 D= Mg, Fe, Ni, Mn, Al, Zn. This is due to it being a grouping and not a specific mineral. It was named in 1564 after a Latin root meaning snake.

Sizing details
All my pocket rockets are sorted by their measurements. The longest side is the measurement that they are sorted by. They could be very thin in both thickness and width, but make the measurement in length only. All pictures are from current lot so it will hopefully give you an idea of the dimensional comparisons for your piece.
I try to add approximate measurements to all items. If there is something I have forgotten or is unclear, please contact me for clarification!
All rocks are a bit smaller than you think they are going to be! Even I order stones online and look at them as I get them from the box and have the same thought. I always get out a ruler when I am reading the measurements on a stone to help me know what to expect.
Wholesale availability
I do wholesale buying when I attend the showcases. With Covid, many things have been cancelled and other sellers cannot get into the country. Please contact me with any questions. I do not sell anything listed on Etsy at wholesale prices, but I am willing to shop for you when I can.
