Malacolla is the trade-name for the combination of Malachite and Chrysocolla. These weigh 3-4 grams each. Please look closely at the picture. There are matrix inclusions, different amounts of malachite vs chrysocolla.

Facts and Lore: The formula of Chrysocolla is (Cu2-xAlx)H2-xSi2O5(OH)4 · nH2O. It was named in Greek for gold glue.
With the formula Cu2CO3(OH)2, malachite is in the carbonates family with azurite. This mineral is often seen as banded and having ocular formations like agates and jaspers. It is shades of green from light to nearly black. The name malachite comes from Greek meaning mallow green in reference to the green color of leaves on the mallow plant.
It seems that malachite has been mines and smelted in Israel for over 3000 years. Ancient Egypt referred to a place in the afterlife that was a field of paradise as the "Field of Malachite". It was felt to be a resurrection, new life and fertility to the ancient Egyptians. This mineral was used for centuries to make green pigments such as paint.

Sizing details
All my pocket rockets are sorted by their measurements. The longest side is the measurement that they are sorted by. They could be very thin in both thickness and width, but make the measurement in length only. All pictures are from current lot so it will hopefully give you an idea of the dimensional comparisons for your piece.
I try to add approximate measurements to all items. If there is something I have forgotten or is unclear, please contact me for clarification!
All rocks are a bit smaller than you think they are going to be! Even I order stones online and look at them as I get them from the box and have the same thought. I always get out a ruler when I am reading the measurements on a stone to help me know what to expect.
Wholesale availability
I do wholesale buying when I attend the showcases. With Covid, many things have been cancelled and other sellers cannot get into the country. Please contact me with any questions. I do not sell anything listed on Etsy at wholesale prices, but I am willing to shop for you when I can.
