From Madagascar. This specimen weighs about 1160 grams which is about 2.5 pounds! It measures about 4.5 x 3.75 x 2 inches.

It went through 2 other names before it was settled on the Greek for celestial about 9 years later. It is fairly soft and comes in many colors with blue being the most popular. The chemical makeup is SrSO4. It is an ingredient in fireworks. The largest geode found has been turned into a viewable cave in Ohio, USA.

Sizing details
All my pocket rockets are sorted by their measurements. The longest side is the measurement that they are sorted by. They could be very thin in both thickness and width, but make the measurement in length only. All pictures are from current lot so it will hopefully give you an idea of the dimensional comparisons for your piece.
I try to add approximate measurements to all items. If there is something I have forgotten or is unclear, please contact me for clarification!
All rocks are a bit smaller than you think they are going to be! Even I order stones online and look at them as I get them from the box and have the same thought. I always get out a ruler when I am reading the measurements on a stone to help me know what to expect.
Wholesale availability
