This is the same material as the Cave of Crystals in Mexico that National Geographic did the amazing pictures and video of. The word selenite comes from Greek meaning "moon". This is the name applied to transparent gypsum. If you have raw pieces, be very careful with splinters that can become embedded in your skin while handling.
